Hridoy made the most of his second life after he was dropped in the slips on his first ball. In fact, that drop in the slips from Rohit Sharma denied Axar Patel a hat-trick. The spinner had claimed the wickets of Tanzid Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim in successive delivery and then induced another edge from Hridoy. Bangladesh were down three wickets with just 26 runs on the board in their Champions Trophy game against India. Mohammed Shami grabbed the wickets of Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan Miraz while Harshit Rana claimed the wicket of captain Najmul Shanto.

Team India secured a dominant 6-wicket victory against Bangladesh in the Champions Trophy 2025, thanks to a stunning century by Shubman Gill. Chasing a competitive target, Gill led the charge with a flawless knock, showcasing his class and composure.

Bangladesh, after opting to bat first, put up a decent total with key contributions from their top order. However, India’s bowlers, led by Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav, restricted them effectively.

In response, India lost a few early wickets, but Gill’s masterclass innings kept them on track. Supported by Virat Kohli and KL Rahul, India comfortably chased down the target, sealing their first win in the tournament.
